The SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department (AQD) hosted the Twentieth Meeting of SEADEC Information Staff Program (20 ISP) from 15 to 17 October 2019 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines. The Meeting reviewed the implementation in the year 2019 of the information strategies aimed at enhancing the visibility of SEAFDEC.

The Chief of AQD, Mr. Dan Baliao welcomed the participants and expressed the appreciation to the new Secretary-General of SEAFDEC Ms. Malinee Smithrithree, for coming all the way to Palawan for the Meeting. He also stressed that in our contemporary society, information dissemination has become more efficient through online digital media.

During the Meeting, recommendations and suggestions were made for the SEAFDEC Secretariat and Departments, to raise their awareness on the security of data stored in the websites and other social media.
