SEAFDEC joins the CTI-CFF Women Leaders Call Forum

The Senior Policy Officer of SEAFDEC Secretariat, Ms. Pattaratjit Kaewnuratchadasorn, and SEAFDEC/TD Gender Focal Person, Ms. Jariya Sornkliang, participated in the Women Leaders Call Forum on 8 October 2021 which was hosted by the Coral Triangle Initiative for Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF) Secretariat. The Forum was aimed at updating the progress of gender related activities in 2021, proposing the workplan in 2022 as well as reporting the progress of the development of the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Policy (GESI). In this occasion, SEAFDEC joined this event as one of the partners of CTI-CFF and presented the SEAFDEC Gender Strategy as well as the actions undertaken by SEAFDEC and its Departments such as awareness raising on gender aspects and mainstreaming gender into the organization and programs and projects ensuring that women, men, and youth at all levels access equitable benefits in the sustainable development and management of fisheries and aquaculture in the Southeast Asian region.
