SEAFDEC is pleased to announce the launch of the “SEAFDEC Database on Fishery Statistics of Southeast Asia,” developed in line with the Regional Framework for Fishery Statistics of Southeast Asia (2024 Edition). The Database is now publicly accessible and compiles fisheries statistics from ten ASEAN Member States, namely: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam, to support data-driven management, policy planning, and sustainable fisheries development in the Southeast Asia region.
Currently, fishery statistics data (for Southeast Asia) are available from 2008 onwards via the main platform at https://fisherystatistics.seafdec.org/.
Stakeholders, researchers, and the general public are invited to explore and utilize the database. Access is also available via the website or the QR code!
