A team from Zeniya Ocean Service Engineering Ltd. visits SEAFDEC

On 14 January 2026, the SEAFDEC Secretariat welcomed a delegation from Zeniya Ocean Service Engineering, Ltd., led by Mr. Koji Hattori, together with staff from Zeni Lite Buoy Co., Ltd. The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Akito Sato, Executive Advisor of Fudo Tetra Corporation and former Deputy Secretary-General of SEAFDEC.

During the visit, the delegation introduced the services provided by Zeni Lite Buoy Co., Ltd., including buoys and floating piers made from various materials, including aluminium, concrete, and polyethylene, to suit different applications and operational requirements. In view of emerging needs for port facilities with reduced environmental impact and lower carbon emissions, as well as the demand for improved infrastructure suitable for small-scale fishing vessels, it was noted that the application of these technologies could be further studied. Such efforts could be undertaken by the company in collaboration with relevant partners, with a view to identifying best practices that could be promoted in the future.
