SEAFDEC Training Department (TD) in collaboration with SEAFDEC Marine Fishery Resources Development and Management Department (MFRDMD) and SEAFDEC-Sweden Project organized the Regional Training Course on Stock Assessment (First Level) from 29 January to 5 February 2016 in Rayong Province, Thailand. There were twenty trainees from the countries around Gulf of Thailand. Myanmar who take responsible on the study of fisheries stock, i.e. anchovy, Indo-Pacific mackerel, tuna and etc. attended in the course. In this level, basic knowledge of fisheries biology was imparted to trainees to capacity building on data collection, biostatistics sampling techniques and fishery biology related with stock assessment.
