Experts Meeting on Port State Measures in Southeast Asia Region

psm_regionalSEAFDEC Training Department in collaboration with SEAFDEC Secretariat co-organized the Experts Meeting on Regional Cooperation to Support the Implementation of Port State Measures in Southeast Asian Region from 2 to 4 February 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. Co-financed by the Japanese Trust Fund and SEAFDEC-Sweden Project, forty two (42) participants representing the SEAFDEC Member Countries and international organizations and collaborating partners such as FAO, USAID; and officials from SEAFDEC and relevant agencies participated in the Meeting. The Meeting had identified the issues for harmonization to support the implementation of Port State Measures (PSM) in the region, and came up with concept proposal on regional cooperation to support the implementation of PSM, to be addressed during the forthcoming SEAFDEC Council Meeting and high-level authorities under the ASEAN mechanism.
