Hosted by the Mekong River Commission (MRC), the 7th MRC Regional Stakeholder Forum on Mekong Transboundary Integrated Water Resources Management was convened on 20-21 May 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Yuttana Theparoonrat, Technical Expert of SEAFDEC, joined as one of the panelists of the Panel Session: Fisheries Management. Dr. Yuttana shared the experiences from activities in the Mekong River Basin under the SEAFDEC-Sweden Project, which includes the conduct of fishing gears survey in Bokeo, Lao PDR and Chiang Rai Province, Thailand, bilateral dialogue between Lao PDR and Thailand, and EAFM trainings. He also conveyed his views on the importance of collaboration and networking among partners in implementing activities that support the member countries for the sustainability of fishery resources.
