Training Course on Laboratory Equipment Operation and Organic/Inorganic Compound Analysis organized in Cambodia

The “Training Course on Laboratory Equipment Operation and Organic/Inorganic Compound Analysis” was organized at Prek Leap National College (PLNCA) in Cambodia from 14 to 16 March 2017. Supported by the Japan Trust Fund, the training was aimed at providing knowledge to Cambodians working in the laboratory of PLNCA. The course was attended by 25 trainees including teaching staff and students of PLNCA, as well as government officers of the Fisheries Administration of Cambodia. With the cooperation of the Hokkaido University of Japan, Dr. Hideo Maruyama and Dr. Masaki Fujita served as instructors for this training course, and transferred knowledge on the use of advanced apparatus for analyzing components in food. The trainees also learned how to use the equipment that has already been set up in the PLNCA Laboratory. After the training, the trainees gained knowledge and skills on the use of various equipment for analyzing components found in fishery and agricultural products in the future.
