In-house Training on Gender Awareness and Gender Mainstreaming in Fisheries

The In-house Training on Gender Awareness and Gender Mainstreaming in Fisheries was conducted at SEAFDEC Secretariat on 21 April 2017 participated by new SEAFDEC staff and Regional Fisheries Program Networking (RFPN) representatives from different countries, namely: Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Viet Nam and Thailand . The aim of the training was to support the participants to ensure that they have a better understanding and awareness on gender issues. After the training, the participants would know how to mainstream gender development into the fisheries sector, specifically throughout the project cycle by including gender analysis in their tools in analyzing the situations and problems, identifying measures to address the gender issues and problems, and ensuring that the programs have sufficient resources to implement the gender action plans with clear gender indicators.
