Capacity Building on EAFM Training in Myanmar

EAFM-MyanmarThe SEAFDEC Training Department (TD) organized the Training Course on Essential Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) in Myanmar from 14 to 18 December 2015 for 17 fisheries officers who engaged in fisheries management through involved in the development of fisheries management plan, supported by SEAFDEC Sweden project. The training course provided the skill that help trainees to develop a management plan to better manage fisheries. Trainees learned about EAFM concepts and with an EAFM plan template to develop a draft plan for their fishery through understood the principles of co-management, adaptive management and how to foster cross-sector coordination and will also practice the crucial skills of effective communication, facilitation and conflict management.
